In partnership with the Santas Anonymous program through BDSS, the Bashaw & District Food Bank provides a Special Christmas Hamper that includes all the fixings for a big Christmas meal. This includes: an option of turkey or ham, cranberry sauce or honey mustard, mixed veggies, potatoes, dressing, buns, mandarin oranges, dessert and a box of chocolates.
In partnership with the Bashaw School and BDSS, the Bashaw & District Food bank helps supply students with adequate nutrition to provide sufficient energy and aid in their daily learning.
The Food Bank is wonderfully supported by our community and we are truly appreciative of all the donations we receive. We accept both financial and in-kind donations and can give a charitable receipt for both types (for in-kind, please bring the store receipt). Please note that we can only accept unopened products and are in most need of canned and dry goods, such as canned meat, soup, vegetables, peanut butter, crackers, cereal, and pasta. We also accept hygiene products such as toilet paper, paper towel, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, soap, feminine hygiene products, diapers, and baby wipes.
